How it works
A conservation easement is a permanent promise.
You keep your land. You keep ranching it, logging it, living on it — and you can still sell it or pass it to your children. What changes is that the right to subdivide and develop is retired for good.
Payette Land Trust holds that promise, walks the ground every year, and enforces it against every future owner. That is the whole job.
