Most of what we do
The landowner keeps the title and keeps working the ground. The right to subdivide and develop is retired permanently, in a deed recorded at the county courthouse. It binds every owner who comes after.

Sometimes a property is bought or donated outright and PLT holds it directly, as at Peterson Forest. That means we carry the taxes, the weeds, the fences and the access questions ourselves.
